60th Anniversary week events

As part of Air Force Heritage week, Incirlik will be celebrating the Air Force's 60th Anniversary with an array of base activities leading up to the Air Force Ball on Sept. 22.

The first events will be two movie nights. The first movie will be "TORA! TORA! TORA!," featured at 7 p.m. Sept. 18 at Arkadas Park. On Sept. 19 the featured film will be "Pearl Harbor" also beginning at 7 p.m. at the park. During the movies, Airmen and their Families can bring chairs, blankets, picnic baskets, coolers and pets; however, glass containers are not permitted.

There will be squadron sports and a picnic Sept. 21 at the park. The food will be served at 1 p.m. and the sporting events will begin at 1:30 p.m. The sporting events will include horseshoes, basketball and volleyball. There will be prizes awarded to the winners of the events. To sign up for squadron teams, contact unit sports representatives.
