"America Supports You" Thanksgiving text message campaign Published Oct. 25, 2007 By Allison Barber Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs - Public Liaison INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- To our selfless Airmen: America Supports You! . . . and our citizens continue to look for ways to communicate their encouragement directly to you. Leading up to Thanksgiving, America Supports You will launch a text message initiative. American citizens will be invited to text a message of "thanks" to military members serving around the world. These messages will be displayed on the America Supports You Web site, the Pentagon Channel and in Stars and Stripes. We invite you to submit a text message we can use to respond to these messages of thanks . . . when a citizen submits a text message, your response will be sent to their phone. Airmen can e-mail their text messages directly to the following address ann.quinlan@osd.mil and carbon copy the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at allison.barber@osd.mil. Please do not include your last name in the response; simply include your first name, service branch and country location.
