Team Incirlik has raised more than $100,000 for the Combined Federal Campaign since the event kicked off Oct. 1 and, with two weeks to go, CFC representatives are confident the wing will surpass its $114,035 goal before the campaign ends Nov. 30.

Twenty five wing CFC representatives have been responsible for getting the word out.

Staff Sgt. Rachael Raines, 39th Mission Support Group, is an MSS CFC unit coordinator and said CFC representatives have done a great job of letting people know about the program.

"Each CFC 'rep' will give anyone interested a CFC booklet with information on how to fill out the donation form," she said.

Airmen may donate to one of more of than 2,000 organizations.

According to Maj. Susan Colclasure, 39th Medical Group commander and wing CFC point of contact, it is important Airmen understand that while donating to the CFC is not mandatory, they can effect a positive change by choosing to give.

"By donating, people have a chance to make life better for those in need," she said.

Every Air Force wing calculates a CFC goal based on base population, previous donations and previous number of donors.

Some Airmen may not know that their CFC donations also assist the entire United States Air Forces in Europe command.

"We forwarded our Incirlik goal to USAFE at the start of the campaign," said Maj. Colclasure. "It is simply about pulling together to meet the goal, which Team Incirlik does all the time."

Major Colclasure said Incirlik Air Base has three CFC goals.

"First, make 100 percent person-to-person contact, which was accomplished November. 2. Secondly, to encourage at least 50 percent of potential donors to give." she said. "Thirdly, reach a monetary a monetary goal of $114,035."

Incirlik Airmen still have time to donate.

Airmen who have not yet donated are encouraged to visit their unit CFC coordinators.
More than $111,000 of 2007 USAFE CFC donations went directly to USAFE programs and, with Team Incirlik's assistance, the command can continue to exceed its goals.

"I donate because I've been blessed with good fortune and I feel I have a responsibility to give back to those in need," said Chief Master Sgt. Jeffrey Antwine, 39th Air Base Wing command chief. "It's important we give to the CFC and take care of one another."
The theme of this year' CFC is "Making a Difference."
