With the holiday season coming up, the Official Document Center is doing their best to ensure that Team Incirlik's packages arrive at their destinations on time.

"It is important to mail your packages before the deadlines to make sure your loved ones receive them in a timely matter," said Tech. Sgt. Sheila Robinson, 39th Communications Squadron ODC official manager.

There are many other things to keep in mind to ensure that your mail arrives at its destination on time.

Make sure that letters have the correct postage since the amounts have changed on first class letters, said Sergeant Robinson.

Make sure boxes are wrapped securely, taped well and have the correct information on the outside of the box, said Staff Sgt. William Taylor, 39th CS ODC custodian of postal effects.

Senders should take into consideration the customs forms which must be on packages in order for them to be mailed. To help speed up the waiting line, senders should fill out the customs forms ahead of time and have paperwork ready to go.

When filling out the customs forms, double-check that it is the right one; white and green is for stateside and white for Military Postal Service and International mail, said Sergeant Taylor.

Members can also make appointments when mailing five or more packages.
"Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.," said Sergeant Taylor.

The Incirlik package deadlines are:
· Space Available Mail - Nov. 27
· Priority Mail - Dec. 11
· First class letters and cards - Dec. 11

The ODC Parcel Mailing Section will also be open every Saturday thru Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information call the ODC at 676-3150 or stop by Bldg. 975.
