The Combined Federal Campaign started Oct. 1 and officially ended Nov. 30, with Team Incirlik having 41 percent participation and raising $122, 056. 40.

"The CFC is a federal campaign that was designed to raise money for many organizations," said Master Sgt. Tyrone Robinson, CFC alternate community area project officer.

The campaign may have ended, but pledge forms are still being collected until Dec. 20 from those members who still have them.

"We still have a few more pledge forms to collect from the geographically separated units," said Sergeant Robinson.

Every year, the base and U.S. Air Forces in Europe set a CFC campaign goal. Last year the base raised $111,978. 40, with each contributor giving approximately $161.35.

"This year our goal was $114,035 with a minimum of 50 percent participation from the wing," said Sergeant Robinson. "We have achieved our monetary goal; however we fell short of our participation goal."

Last year USAFE exceeded their goal and more than $111,000 went directly to USAFE programs.

The entire CFC-Overseas Campaign goal is $16M; USAFE's goal for the CFC-Overseas campaign is $1.9M with 100 percent informed opportunity to give, said Sergeant Robinson.
The CFC allows members of the base to look through more than 2,000 possible organizations to donate to. All donations are voluntary.

The CFC is important not only to the people who donate, but also to the people and charities who receivedonations.

"This is an opportunity to give to those charitable organizations that help others in need," said Sergeant Robinson. "Not only are there individuals in the world who are less fortunate than us, but the contributions they give, combined with the contributions of others, make a huge difference in the lives of so many people."

While next years goal has not been formulated, Team Incirlik is sure to continue exceeding CFC goals for years to come.

"It's hard to predict what next year's goal will be," said Sergeant Robinson. "Each year's goal is generally based off of current population and a percentage of the previous year's average contribution."

The theme for this year's campaign was "Making a Difference."

"Our goal could not have been reached without the generous contributions of those who donated to the CFC," said Col. Philip McDaniel, 39th Air Base Wing base commander.
