The vehicle passes will become mandatory July 1 and Incirlik members who want to drive their POV on base after that date must obtain a vehicle pass, regardless of when they are scheduled to leave Incirlik. "The vehicle pass distribution is setup the same way the gate passes were issued," said Staff Sgt. DeMarko Harrell, 39th Security Forces Squadron noncommissioned officer in-charge of pass and registration. "By scheduling the dates by name, it makes it easier for the customers." The following dates, determined by the first letter of the sponsor's last name, are when Incirlik members should apply for their vehicle pass: A-C - May 12-13 D-F - May 14-15 G-I - May 16, May 19 J-L - May 20-21 M-O - May 22-23 P-R - May 27-28 S-U - May 28-29 V-Z - May 30 Make-up days - June 2-6 There are required documents to have when applying for a vehicle pass. When personnel arrive at pass and registration, they should bring a completed vehicle pass application form, which can be obtained at pass and registration, and military members will need a copy of United States Air Forces in Europe Form 181. Incirlik members will also need a copy of all traffic registration cards and insurance documents located in their black traffic book and a passport-size photograph of each driver of the vehicle. Pass and registration can provide the photos. Civilians and dependents need a copy of the cover and picture page of their International Drivers License or a translated and notarized Turkish drivers license. The vehicle passes will take 5-7 days to process and can be picked up 8 a.m.- noon and 1-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, at the Turkish Pass and ID office, Bldg. 2702. According to Sergeant Harrell, in 2009 personnel will renew vehicle passes at the same time they renew their gate pass. With more than 800 vehicles to register on base, Sergeant Harrell asks everyone to have copies of all required documents ahead of time because pass and registration cannot make copies. Pass and registration is located on the first floor of Bldg. 833, and the hours of operation are 7:30 - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. For more information, contact pass and registration at 676-6617.
