Action line #80705-Children's pool Published Aug. 6, 2008 By Anonymous 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Complaint: I am writing regarding the children's pool at the base pool. We frequent the pool, and have to spend a lot of time at the small children's pool due to my kids' ages. The pool is always freezing cold. A lot of the time, my kids don't even want to get into it. I can't even stand to stick my feet in it. I am curious as to why it's so much colder than the big pool and if anything can be done to keep the pool warmer. Thank you Response: Thanks for taking the time to write. We are always looking for ways to make our leisure activities more enjoyable for our community so your feedback is appreciated. We do not heat either pool during the summer months and, as such, are very limited in our ability to regulate the water temperature. Typically the low water level and the hot summer sun warms the children's pool to comfortable temperatures. The temperature of the two pools remain between 75°F and 80°F and this morning when the water temperature was tested, the pools were both at the upper end of the acceptable range with a 4 degree difference in the two pools. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to respond to your concerns regarding our base pool.
