Action line 80811 - Of Note Published Sept. 2, 2008 By Anonymous 39th Air Base Wing Publice Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Note from the editor: The Action Line Program was established to not only voice your questions and concerns about issues or processes on base, but also to praise people and processes for doing a good job or for making life on Incirlik a little easier. Accolade: I don't believe the Incirlik Action Line was established exclusively for complaints, it should also be an avenue for folks to provide complements as well. There are elements on base that are essentially unrecognized. I hope you will allow me to mention them briefly. AAFES barber shop personnel: Friendly staff, always eager to accommodate customers. Golf Course café: Customer oriented staff, delicious sandwiches - hot and fresh. Dental Clinic: Exceptional staff - remarkable service! Pentagon Federal Credit Union: Hometown atmosphere, thankful to have the service available. BX and staff: Maybe they don't stock everything like a large outlet; however, they do provide a great place to shop. Post Office: Bringing smiles to many of us when we pick up a package or a letter from home. American and Turkish Security Forces: Keeping us safe to perform our functions on base without fear of compromise. There are other organizations and personnel I could easily mention; however, I hope others will take a moment and recognize those who have a positive impact on their daily lives. Response: Thanks very much for taking the time to honor some of our best. You're right: Action Line is for more than complaints, and it is very nice to hear some well-deserved 'atta-boys.' Too often people focus on what they perceive is wrong and forget about all the great things happening every day. I'd like to add one of my own: the Force Support Squadron. The squadron's military and civilian members work long hours and weekends to enhance our quality of life and morale, and I think they do an outstanding job. Again, thanks for the kind words. Makes my day!
