The Sultan's Inn dining facility will close 8:30 p.m. Nov. 12 and relocate to an alternate facility in time for midnight meal at 10:30 p.m. the same evening.

Building 957, also known as the old Burger King food court behind the Army and Air Force Exchange Service car sales, will host Incirlik diners during a 60-day utilities upgrade project at the Sultan's Inn.

"This location was the best alternative as it allows us to continue providing food in close proximity to the dorms," said Maj. James Turner, 39th Force Support Squadron commander.

Although the alternate facility is smaller, meal choices and side dishes will be very similar.

"Choices will be the same with some limitations," said Andy Pastula, 39 FSS dining facility manager. "The current standard for the main line is three entrees, but we will go to two entrees while at the alternate facility."

The short-order line and sides will be available along with the salad and sandwich bars, fresh pizza, drink and smoothie machines and grab-n-go options, said Mr. Pastula.

With the holidays quickly approaching, there is no need to wonder if Incirlik Airmen will have a traditional meal.

"Holiday meals will be served with all the trimmings Airmen are accustomed to," said Major Turner.

Though the smaller alternate facility will not change what is served to patrons, it does restrict people authorized to dine there.

"Currently, anyone in uniform can eat at the Sultan's Inn," said Major Turner. "At the alternate facility, permanent-party personnel receiving basic allowance for sustenance will not be permitted. Only meal card holders and temporary-duty personnel will be authorized."

Hours of operation for the alternate facility will be the same as the Sultan's Inn extended hours: Breakfast is 4:30-8:30 a.m., lunch is 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m., dinner is 4-8:30 p.m. and midnight meal is 10:30 p.m.-1 a.m.

Major Turner and Mr. Pastula encourage Airmen to use the extended hours to avoid waiting during peak hours.

For questions or comments, comment cards will be available in the alternate facility.

"We are making every effort to continue the existing service while working in the constraints of the alternate facility," said Major Turner.
