Action line 81113 - Sultan's Inn relocation Published Nov. 14, 2008 By Anonymous 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Complaint: I just wanted to give some credit to everyone over at the Sultan Inn. I think the relocation went extremely well, actually flawless as it would seem from this morning. I can only imagine how much work went into relocating such a large 24/7/365 operation such as the Sultan's Inn between meal times with virtually no negative change in the end result. I remember the old AAFES food court from my first tour here many years ago. I think it was very well thought out to keep that facility in good repair despite the fact it was vacated and unused. It really shows flexibility and good planning, and I have always been impressed by this base's ability to adapt to so many different challenges throughout the years. I feel this facility will continue to provide a very useful purpose in the future, whatever it may be. Response: Music to my ears! It's always nice to hear good folks and good work recognized. I agree with your assessment: the FSS did fine work in the relocation, and my thanks to those that made the difficult task look easy. Thanks much for your kind words.
