Action Line #81123 – Outstanding MDG Published Nov. 21, 2008 By Anonymous 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Complaint: I have to admit, I have been known to be very vocal in the whole "this place is terrible" mantra that gets the best of some of us here at Incirlik, but I do have to speak up when I have a positive experience as well. It is only fair. I am a regular at the Medical Clinic. I am just short of eight months pregnant so between Family Practice, Women's Health, Dental, Life Skills, the Lab, and Radiology, I am in the clinic weekly. I am constantly impressed with the professionalism displayed by everyone that I come in contact with from the receptionists to the technicians to the actual doctors. I am welcomed with a smile, daily, and short of checking my ID due to protocol, they know me by name, and have become a vital role in my health care. I commend the staff at the Medical Group for the things they do on a daily basis that most people don't see. If I have a Family Practice appointment, and I am written a prescription, the Pharmacy calls my OB to insure that these medications are safe for my unborn child. I realize that this is something that should happen, but the fact that the Pharmacy is concerned about everything that I put into my body, makes me truly appreciate their services as well. I could go on and on about the outstanding service I receive. When I need lab work done, I have never waited more than 15 minutes to get taken care of. Start to finish. Even when there have been 3 or 4 people waiting, their attention to my time, and the time of the other individuals, is definitely appreciated. I also appreciate the willingness of the appointment line to schedule my appointments in a timely fashion, and on some occasions, actually putting me on hold to see if a walk-in appointment was available that day. There is a major difference between doing your job, and going above and beyond the call of duty. Fortunately for me, the professionals that I run into at the Medical Group do the latter. So, even though this isn't an instance where "Action" needs to be taken to change something, I do feel that someone needs a pat on the back for the "Action" that they have already taken. Response: Thank you for the kind words. Isn't it amazing what some extra effort can do? The entire organization benefits from the extra smile, the extra mile and the desire to help others. I'm very proud of our Medical Group, and thank you for taking the time to offer your words of praise. And congrats on the upcoming addition!
