Action Line 81207 - temperature on AFN

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey --  Complaint: 

I have asked a couple of people why the temperature was removed from the American Forces Network channels and no one seems to know? The time is still in the same location, but the temperature was removed. Was there a reason for this? It was nice to be able to look at the TV and see what the weather is like prior to Physical Training (especially now that it's getting cold). Thank you for your time. 

Response:

A good question. We received new equipment and software to help us manage our spot rotation more efficiently but we're unable to make it work correctly. We've been trouble-shooting this issue for quite a while and have received technical support from our headquarters and other agencies, to no avail. Unfortunately, we don't have a definite "fix" date because we're still working to isolate the problem. I'm hopeful for success in the new year. 

Until we get it fixed, you can tune to the CAC and listen to our morning DJ; we provide live weather updates from the Weather Flight hourly as well as announcing the latest information every 15 minutes.
