Action line 90306 - Finance Published March 31, 2009 By Anonymous 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Complaint: This morning I went to finance to cash check and noticed the new hours. As I approached the window they had posted a sign that stated they would only be taking contracting money from 9:00-10:30 a.m. I was only there to cash a regular check and that was fine, I had other errands to run. I came back at 10:40 a.m., ready to cash my check, and when I got to the window and it was closed. I was told to come back at 12:00 p.m. and they would be open. That would make my third trip to finance in one day. What about active duty who don't have the time to make three trips to finance? I'm a very patient person but my patience is wearing thin. All I'm asking is for a regular schedule for check cashing at finance. Response: Sorry to hear you made three trips, however, our cashier hours of operation have been unchanged for nearly two years. The cashier's cage hours of operation remain: Monday-Friday from 7:30-9:00 a.m. for personal monetary transactions Monday-Friday from 9:00-10:30 for vendor services only Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 12:00- 3:30 p.m. for personal monetary transactions Note: Financial services and the cashier window will be closed on wing training days, federal holidays, family days and USAFE goal days. The hours are posted outside the lobby, available online on the Incirlik Portal Website, and published in our monthly newsletter (Comptroller's Corner), which is disseminated through the First Sergeants. To avoid frustration and inconvenience, I encourage you to note the cashier hours of operation for personal monetary transactions. You may also cash checks at the base exchange for amounts up to $300, the Consolidated Club (if you're a club-card member) up to $300 for cash and Lira, if more, a manager's approval is required, and lastly, ATMs are located in various areas of the base where you may get cash or YTL.
