U.S. Air Forces Personnel Technician of the Year was announced at the United States Air Forces Headquarters, Washington D.C. March 19, 2009.

Tech. Sgt. Bonny Reyes of the 425th Air Base Group commander's support staff had to win at the group, then wing, and then at command level before she was chosen at the Air Force level as the ultimate winner of the award.

"Winning an Air Force level competition is quite an achievement," said Col. Rick Robel, 425 ABG commander. "Being recognized as the personnel technician of the year is a phenomenal accomplishment and a dogged commitment to excellence."

The personnel technician of the year award recognizes individuals that make outstanding contributions to the Air Force and the A1 community and clearly stand above their peers in professionalism, motivation and results.

"Winning at Air Force level is a great honor. This award would have not been possible without the support of my leadership. They trusted me to do my job and I gave them my all," said Tech. Sgt. Bonny Reyes after winning the award.
