Complaint:

For the last, what seems like, two months, the Sultan's Inn has had some type of enchiladas. I like Mexican food, but every day for months; can we get a little variety?

Response:

Thank you for your inquiry about the menu for the Sultan's Inn. The Air Force requires all dining facilities worldwide to operate from a standardized menu. This world-wide menu has a 14-day menu cycle, which provides a variety of 80 different main entrees. The cycle is designed to provide mandatory minimum daily menu standards to provide a well balanced diet. You can see this 14-day menu by going to www.39fss.com and clicking on the dining facility link.

The Sultan's Inn, however, is committed to providing food choices that go above and beyond the standard menu. A few of the more obvious examples are the pizza and daily stir-fry offerings for lunch & dinner. Some of the less obvious extras are the increased variety in beverage choices and the ice cream bar.
In the case of the enchiladas, the Sultan's Inn had an overstock of enchiladas with an approaching expiration date. In order to be good stewards of our resources, the Sultan's Inn began offering these items more often so as to not let them go to waste.

The enchiladas were the only Mexican food type nearing their expiration date, so we couldn't offer other varieties of Mexican foods in this vane. Once the overstock condition is resolved, you will see enchiladas served only on their regularly scheduled days. This did not detract from your usual offerings just provided an additional menu option.

The Sultan's Inn will continue to strive to provide an enjoyable variety of foods within their regulatory and resource constraints.
