New, old uniform wear info available Published Dec. 21, 2009 By Senior Airman Alex Martinez 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Incirlik's Web site currently features a link to information about recent and numerous changes to Air Force uniform wear policies. The purpose of featuring the information is to ensure Incirlik Airmen are aware of the always changing policies. "It's important for every Airman to be aware of uniform guidance in order to ensure we wear the uniform appropriately," said Chief Master Sgt. Robert Ellis, the 39th Air Base Wing command chief. "How we wear the uniform is a reflection of ourselves, our units and our service. Let's all reflect the sharp image our nation expects of its Airmen." Some of the information includes changes to the physical fitness uniform, winter wear, Airman Battle Uniform, sweaters and blues, backpacks and attaché cases and Flight Duty Uniforms. Chief Ellis said a centralized, well publicized web resource helps keep Airmen informed and provides an easy quick reference when they need to verify or refresh their memories on policy or guidance. For more information on the proper uniform wear policies, Airmen can go to www.incirlik.af.mil and click on the "Dress & Appearance" button, view the dress and appearance slide show located in the Public Affairs folder on the P: Drive or contact their unit first sergeant.
