Complaint:

My squadron, like most on base, regularly does physical training running the 2.2 mile or 5K option at the triangle.

In the year I've been here, I've noticed that my knees hurt a lot more after running at the triangle as opposed to running on the "dedicated" running surface at the track. While running the triangle last week, I couldn't help but notice that the road has a shoulder that follows a good ¾ of the running route.

Is there any possibility of getting at least that portion of the shoulder set with a more suitable running surface? I truly believe that it would save many pairs of knees throughout the community.

Good idea...we are now looking at installing a new running/fitness area in the new community area, which is in the planning phase. Unfortunately, you and I will probably not see this as this project is probably about five to ten years away. Your idea will definitely make things better for those who follow us. Thank you for addressing this matter, and please continue to focus on ways to make Incirlik Air Base a better place to live.
