Action Line #91206 -TVs for Loan

Complaint:

I was wondering if there is any way to get televisions for loan when PCSing in or out of Incirlik. I think that right now, with flat screens being the hot item to have, a lot of people would have "old school" TVs that they would want to donate. I have two TVs myself I would be willing to get rid of. I know there would be an issue of clearing these off our Beyaname, but I figure there could be a way to make that a fairly simple process if people are going to donate their TVs. It would make the whole process and inconvenience of that transition phase a lot more bearable to families if we could have a TV at home while all of our stuff is packed up.

Response:

We appreciate your input and agree that having TV's available pre- and post-PCS would be a nice convenience. Unfortunately, Beyaname requirements would make donated TV's a challenge to manage. However, our fine 39th Force Support Squadron personnel have come up with a solution. Outdoor Recreation will begin offering a TV check-out service beginning February 2, 2010. A limited number of TV's will be available for $10 per week or $30 per month. They will also have a limited number of DVD players and video game rentals available. You can reach Outdoor Recreation by calling 676-6044.
