Complaint:

I was at the bowling alley on Sunday afternoon with my daughter. There were a couple other families with younger children as well. They had music playing which is not a problem. However, the choice of music was very inappropriate for the people that were there. When every other word is a swear and if it were played on the radio it would have been censored it shouldn't be playing during times when families are in the bowling alley. I think it's just common sense that when families are around you should be playing songs that have swears or could be considered offensive. A couple of the songs that were played could be considered both. To make it worse they kept playing it and we had to ask them to turn it off. There are not a lot of family actives to do on base. This happens to be one we all enjoy and i don't want to have to stop going due to poor choices of music by the employees.

Response:

First of all, please accept our apologies and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are pleased to see that you enjoy our Family Day on Sundays! We definitely want to ensure we promote a family friendly atmosphere, especially on Sundays.

The music CD you are referring to was not part of the Bowling Center's approved music collection and has been removed. Management checked the entire CD collection to ensure there are only approved CD's available for play. In addition, Bowling Center employees have been briefed that only music from this collection is authorized for play.

We do hope you and your family will continue to enjoy Sundays with us. In addition, we encourage you check out the Force Support Squadron Happenings magazine and webpage at www.39FSS.com for the
