Complaint:
It seems as if the Base web site has a lot of useful information. As I sit at my computer eating my lunch (As I do every day) not being able to leave for lunch do to mission requirements, I was thinking..."what happen to the base blotter?" it was an interesting yet informative way to see what the rest of the base was doing and a kind of informal brief to the week's events. Lunch time is down time for most but especially for facilities where leaving is not an option during your shift. Is there a way to have this posted in the base page, or at least in the Happenings publication? I know other basses still publish general non specific information I just haven't seen it here....or wait, am I just not looking in the right spot?

Response:
Thank you for your interest in our website. The "Blotter" feature seen in many base newspapers around the Air Force is a popular feature that gives a brief synopsis of many of the activities noted in the daily blotter in a sanitized format. This feature has proven useful to inform the base on standards of conduct that are not acceptable.

As you know, Incirlik no longer publishes a base newspaper, and instead distributes information via our official website and via an unofficial Facebook page. These venues are especially useful to inform the base population, but it also makes information available worldwide. In the case of the "Blotter" feature, we're looking at options to make it available to the Incirlik community over the Internet. Once we are able to do that effectively, we'll begin publishing a regular "Blotter" feature! However, we are lucky here at Incirlik as the actual blotter is fairly boring. That fact is testament to our great Airmen who remain Fit, Focused and Fighting for What's Right.
