Complaint
:
There has been a couple of times now where I have been stopped at the front gate being searched by the Turkish Military, when I will see someone on a moped drive around the cones and straight through the gate without being stopped or ID'd. Now I understand maybe they personally recognized them, however, that's extremely hard to do when the rider is wearing a helmet. Anyone could have been wearing that helmet and allowed on the base with no problem at all. This raises some serious concerns for my family and me. Is there any way to ensure everyone is being stopped and searched at the gate?

Response:
Thank you for bringing this important issue to our attention. Unfortunately, as you are probably aware, the 39th Air Base Wing does not control entry to Incirlik Air Base. Subsequently, we have little influence over how entry control is conducted. That said, I've asked the 39th Security Forces Squadron to relay this concern to their counterparts at the 10th Tanker Security Battalion so they can review their current procedures.

Thank you for your being vigilant. Please do not hesitate to contact Eagle Eyes (676-EYES (3937)) or the Law Enforcement Desk (676-3200) if you observe any suspicious activities within your neighborhood. Our joint US/Turkish law enforcement team will respond as soon as possible to investigate. Have a great day.
