Michael Hebron, from the 39th Medical Support Squadron received a surprise Dec. 22, at Incirlik Air Base through the Stripes for Exceptional Performers program. Col. Eric Beene, the 39th Air Base Wing commander, surprised Sergeant Hebron with a STEP promotion to technical sergeant witnessed by his fellow medics. Sergeant Hebron's job performance, expertise and leadership abilities were contributing factors for his promotion to the next rank. "Sergeant Hebron's superior leadership and technical abilities are consistently recognized," said Lt. Col. Lisa Moore, the 39th Medical Support Squadron commander, "which place him in roles of greater responsibility." Tech. Sgt. Hebron is from Annapolis, Maryland. His interests include basketball, watching sports and spending time with his family.
