The 728th Air Mobility Squadron here held an open house for family members to give them a better understanding of their mission Feb. 24.

Lt. Col. Brian Lindsey, the 728th AMS commander, began with a mission brief; then AMS members led groups on a guided tour that included briefings and demonstrations by the Airmen of the 728th AMS. About 30 family members participated in the event.

By giving demonstrations of their cargo and maintenance equipment, the tour will help family members understand the sounds they hear from the flight line at all hours of the night and give them a better appreciation for what the Airmen of the 728th do, Colonel Lindsey said.
