Hyatt 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- The 39th Medical Group here won in two categories of the recently announced 2010 Air Force Medical Service Annual Award competition. The group received a team and an individual award. Team Award: Small Dental Clinic of the Year 39th Medical Operations Squadron Dental Clinic The dental clinic here attained a 96.8 percent Department of Defense Patient satisfaction rating, which was number one in all of U.S. Air Forces in Europe for the 2010 second quarter. Further, the clinic maintained a wing dental readiness rate of 99.2 percent, exceeding the Air Force goal of 95 percent. The members of the 39th Dental Clinic team are Lieutenant Colonels Victor Maggio and Jeffry Larson; Majors Tansel Acar, Eric Baugh and Aida Solivan-Ortiz; Master Sergeants Lizandra O'Neill and Stevie Stephens; Tech. Sergeants Lisan Burney, Tomekia King and Ernest Matthews; Staff Sergeants Enmeri Batista, Erica Johnson and Kacy Malone; Senior Airmen Larico Ellis, Mary Garrido, Katelin Hunt, Rachelle Johnston, Lyndsay Roark and Tisha Sauceda; and Airman 1st Class Nelson Rolle. Individual Award Winner: Outstanding Base Bioenvironmental Engineering Airman of the Year Award Staff Sgt. Ryan M. Keller 39th MDG, Incirlik Air Base, U.S. Air Forces in Europe Sergeant Keller's accomplishments include winning the John Levitow Award during Airman Leadership School, being named the 39th Air Base Wing Airman of the Year for the 2009 fourth quarter, and managing and revamping the bioenvironmental equipment program, which was valued at more than $800,000. He also performed a special water survey of a protected aircraft shelter on the flight line, saving $50,000 annually in bottled water costs. "It feels great to win this award. It's Incirlik bioenvironmental's unique mission and opportunities that made this award possible, as well as great leadership," said the Bioenvironmental Engineering Airman of the Year. "'Teamwork makes the dream work' is our motto." The Pennsylvania-native has been in the Air Force for five and a half years and has been stationed at Incirlik Air Base for the last year and a half. Bio-personnel perform activities in the fields of industrial hygiene, occupational health, radiological health, and environmental protections to ensure healthful working conditions are maintained and that the environment is not adversely affected by Air Force operations. "We are proud of our Air Force Medical Service award winners. They exemplify the professionalism and highly dedicated individuals throughout our Medical Group," said Col. Jay Cloutier, the 39th Medical Group commander.
