Team Incirlik gets “major” upgrade Published April 21, 2011 By 39th Air Base Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Air Force officials announced five Incirlik captains selected for promotion to the rank of major April 21 in the results of the calendar 2010 nurse corps and line of the Air Force colonel, lieutenant colonel and major central selection board. Captains Alidan A. Bangura, of the 39th Medical Operations Squadron, Brian M. Fitzpatrick, of the 39th Security Forces Squadron, Lupe Gutierrez, of the 39th Maintenance Squadron, Ryan L. Stebbins, of the 39th Force Support Squadron, and Daniel P. Yerrington, of the 39th Air Base Wing were selected for promotion to major in the board. "Being selected as a field grade officer is a significant accomplishment in an Airman's career," said Col. Chad Butts, the 39th Air Base Wing vice commander. "The leadership requirements of a FGO are incredible, and we will be demanding great things from these select officers." The board also announced Airmen promoted from major to lieutenant colonel and from lieutenant colonel to colonel. No Airmen from Incirlik were selected in these categories. As a reminder, selections are tentative until the data verification process is complete, which is no later than 10 days after the promotion release date. Air Force Personnel Center officials will notify Airmen through their military personnel sections if their selection is in question.
