Incirlik golfers' opinions sought

Headquarters Air Force Services has launched its second annual golfer survey at 71 courses worldwide. This survey, designed by the National Golf Foundation, gives Incirlik Air Base golfers the chance to provide valuable feedback on the Hodja Lakes Golf Course.

"We ran this survey in 2007 to determine what was most important to the golfers here at Hodja Lakes Golf Course," said Tom Abrahamson, golf course manager. "The survey results are not only important to us here, but also at Air Force level, as they develop programs and the direction of Air Force golf."

"The last survey showed us that the golfers at Incirlik thought the overall course conditions were poor because of the dryness of the fairways," said Abrahamson. "Because of this feedback, we improved irrigation and now have 100 percent more grass than in previous years. We also took steps that improved the quality and health of the turf."
