ODC authorized for PCS needs

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- People permanently changing station to the U.S. are authorized to use the stateside official activity address for 120 days. According to regulations, employees may receive personal mail through the official mail center only during the first 120 days after they join the organization.

This may be helpful for movers who wish to have certain items available sooner than their unaccompanied baggage is expected to arrive.

Customers may also want to choose from the following change of address options:

· Forwarding their mail to their gaining unit, a designated address or a relative's mailing address
· Establishing a personal address in advance
· Utilizing the installation mailroom for general delivery service. It is advised to check with each installation for availability of service and space.
· Requesting a U.S. Postal Service P.O. Box by completing an online PS Form 1093-C, Application for Post Office via http://about.usps.com/forms/ps1093.pdf

Once a permanent mailing address is available, it is important to submit a PS Form 3575, Official Mail Forwarding Change of Address Order, to the Official Document Center.
