Space-A travel information now available on Facebook

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey --  For people thinking about planning a European vacation or visiting the U.S. from Turkey, a newly published Facebook page can assist in those plans and reduce the toll on one's wallet.

People can learn about space-available travel on the new Incirlik Passenger Terminal Facebook page by typing "Incirlik Passenger Terminal" in the Facebook search function.

The Incirlik Passenger Terminal has weekly flights to Baltimore, Ramstein, Germany, and occasional flights to other European destinations. Service members and families at Incirlik can take advantage of these flights for little to no cost.

The goal of the Facebook page is to expand knowledge about Space-A travel, provide a more predictable travel experience and help make Space-A the preferred travel choice for eligible participants.

"As a Department of Defense asset, Air Mobility Command is unique in the fact that we are responsible for transporting eligible Department of Defense card holders and their families around the world," said Col. William Zeck, AMC air transportation chief. "What we want to do is provide our travelers with enough information to plan their trip and enjoy their Space-A traveling experience."

In order to help eligible travelers plan more efficiently, 728th AMS passenger service agents will post current and future flight information. Customers can expect to see the number of flights, destinations, number of seats available, number of seats filled and the lowest Space-A category reached. The same information is also available on the Incirlik Passenger Terminal's recorded message service.

Customers can view a tentative flight schedule for the next 72 hours with projected departure dates, roll call and show times, number of seats available, and destinations. A passenger service agent will respond to each post within 24 hours.
