Initial release: Security Forces Airman pronounced dead Published March 27, 2012 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Incirlik Air Base, Turkey -- A male Airman assigned to the 39th Security Forces Squadron here was pronounced dead by local medical officials at approximately 4:30 p.m. March 27 after an incident during an off-base fishing trip. The cause of death is under investigation. No one else was injured in the incident. The name of the Airman is being withheld until at least 24 hours following next-of-kin notification.
