All Team Incirlik members need a way to resolve issues when normal avenues do not seem to produce results. The Commander's Action Line program is a powerful tool that allows the base community to voice their concerns or questions directly to the 39th Air Base Wing commander.

Action line submissions are coordinated through the 39th ABW public affairs office via email, then forwarded to the most appropriate subject-matter expert for response. This process is anonymous for the submitter, whose contact information is not shared at any time.

"I encourage everyone to use your chain of command first. Any member of Team Incirlik should be able to speak to his or her supervisors, first sergeants and squadron commanders to resolve issues and address concerns within the unit," said Col. Chris Craige, 39th ABW commander. "Sometimes, though, there is a problem or question that may be addressed better by a different organization or subject-matter expert, and that is where the Commander's Action Line comes in."

When a response to a submission is received from the corresponding agency, it is sent to the commander for review. He may agree with the reply and send that message to the requestor. However, the commander may require a more thorough explanation or more background information from the requestor, in which case, the public affairs office will contact them. From submission to reply, a final and approved response is completed in approximately 15 duty days.

The action line brings many different topics to the commander's attention, including noise complaints, outprocessing problems and health concerns. However, it is not just a forum for negativity; it isĀ used to clarify Department of Defense regulations, suggest quality of life improvements and provide constructive feedback on existing services. If a suggestion or concern affects enough of the base population, it may be posted on the Incirlik AB website at http://www.incirlik.af.mil/library/actionlines.asp.

Send Commander's Action Line submissions to actionline@incirlik.af.mil or drop them off in the Public Affairs mailbox in the command section of Bldg. 833.
