Incirlik officials remind community to stay vigilant Published Sept. 13, 2012 By Senior Airman Clayton Lenhardt 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Following recent anti-American protests in the region outside of Turkey, 39th Air Base Wing officials here are reminding all members of the Incirlik community to be alert and continue to follow standard security and situational awareness procedures. While there are no indications of increased threat and base operations will continue as normal, officials said, they are reminding Team Incirlik members to maintain vigilance while traveling off base. "We will continue to conduct force protection measures to ensure the safety of our Airmen and families here," said Col. Brent Bigger, 39th Air Base Wing vice commander. "We ask that members of Incirlik and our tenant units take extra precautions while travelling off base due to the nature of recent events. Wing leadership will ensure any and all pertinent information is provided to Airmen as it becomes available."
