Incirlik celebrates legacy of MLK Published Jan. 23, 2013 By Staff Sgt. Marissa Tucker 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Members of the Incirlik community celebrated the legacy and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a luncheon Jan. 18, at the Consolidated Club. The event focused on Dr. King's contributions to the civil rights movement and the betterment of American society and included a guest speaker, musical selections and an excerpt of the "I Have a Dream" speech. The guest speaker, Master Sgt. Ricky Mack, 39th Maintenance Squadron first sergeant, spoke about how Dr. King's actions set a standard for the conviction all Airmen should have towards their family, service and a worthy cause.
