Summer strike bowling begins May 1 Published April 26, 2013 By Staff Sgt. Eric Summers Jr. 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Members of Team Incirlik may find it difficult to be bored this summer with this year's Summer Strike Bowling program. The program offers an opportunity for Airmen and their friends or co-workers to get out and bowl, not just for discounted prices but great prizes as well. The grand prize is a trip to the National Football League games at London's Wembley Stadium. The Minnesota Vikings play the Pittsburgh Steelers Sept. 29 and the Jacksonville Jaguars play the San Francisco 49ers Oct. 27. This prize package includes airfare, two night hotel accommodations, game tickets and $400 cash. The second place prize is $1000 cash. The program begins on May 1 and runs through the Aug. 15, 2013. The Incirlik Bowling Center will offer $1 games per person on Sundays and Mondays from 1 p.m. to close. Additional prizes include an iPad, barbecue grill, a carpet and other items. "With today's economy and all of us tightening our budgets, it is important to us to be able to provide programs that offer discounted pricing with easy access on base. We feel that this program will offer our Airman, family members and the base community overall exactly that," says Kent Jenkins, Headquarters United States Air Force in Europe business activity specialist. "Bowling centers on most of our USAFE bases are easily accessible during lunch time or after work and offer an activity that is fun, healthy and affordable."
