Recently, the Air Force released a consolidated website detailing benefits available to active duty, reserve and Air National Guard Airmen.

The website, www.MyAirForceBenefits.us.af.mil has information regarding more than 150 different benefits, including aid with planning for retirement, deployments and benefits available on a federal and state-by-state basis.

“Before this website was created you’d have to sit in on briefings or go to an agency to track down information relevant to you,” Master Sgt. Keith Corcoran, 39th Force Support Squadron Airman and Family Readiness Center superintendent. “This will save a lot of time now that you can get this information on your own time.”

According to the website, all Airmen, family members, retirees and even the general public may use the website to access information that may be relevant to them.

“The benefits website is designed for ease of use to allow the youngest Airmen, to seasoned veterans to be able to use it,” Corcoran said. “Someone can log into the website, use their common access card to populate their information into calculators and not have to worry about filling things in themselves.”

The fact sheets available on the website are routinely updated, allowing members to get up to date information on recently changed benefits.

“If you’ve got a few extra minutes, just go in and play around with the planning tools,” Corcoran said. “There are different tabs and sections for the different service components to see how benefits change if you go from one component to the other. There’s so much to learn and to take advantage of for anyone associated with the military.”
