39th Operations Support Squadron

The 39th Operations Support Squadron (39 OSS) leads world-class airfield and support operations to orchestrate and control U.S., Turkish, and coalition forces operating at Incirlik Air Base in the execution of full-spectrum airpower and surety operations.  The squadron allows for critical U.S., Turkish, and NATO alliance air power projection across three geographic and multiple functional combatant commands.

39 OSS consists of 89 aviation operations professionals, including U.S. and Turkish nationals, who partner every day with Turkish Air Force and civilian meteorological professionals to ensure 24/7 safe and secure aviation operations.  39 OSS operates $148 million in equipment to be USAFE’s best airpower projection squadron while leading 39th Air Base Wing in agile combat employment across Türkiye and the region.

Mission:  Provide operational and staff support to project U.S. and allied global combat power, strategic deterrence, and bolster alliances.

Vision:  Operational support professionals, strengthening partnerships, who are capable to choose their time/place to support airpower projection tonight.

Always Forward!  The Ankas are the "Little Squadron that Does” while demonstrating excellence to fellow U.S. and Turkish Airmen.  39 OSS is the only U.S. Air Force unit that shares a mascot with their Turkish counterparts.
