39th CES dedicates facility, honors fallen airmen

Incirlik Air Base members watch the unveiling of the 39th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal flight’s new facility during a building dedication ceremony at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Aug. 6, 2021. The 39th CES EOD flight hosted the ceremony to dedicate its new facility to Tech. Sgt. Phillip Myers, a former EOD technician who made the ultimate sacrifice during combat operations. Myers lost his life while serving in Afghanistan, due to injuries from an improvised explosive device on April 4, 2009. He previously served at Incirlik AB from August 2003 to September 2005.
