Sparks flying!
Staff Sgt. Andrew Davis, 39th Maintenance Squadron fabrications shop assistant chief, uses a plasma-cutter to slice through a piece of steel Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 at the Incirlik Air Base fabrications shop. Plasma-cutters work by sending a pressurized gas, such as nitrogen, argon or oxygen, through a small channel creating a spark that reduces metal to molten slag.
