Combat Education/Project Cheer/AEF cycles

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Combat Education
Continuing your education is important.

The muscle in our craniums needs continual exercise in order to stay in shape. The Combat Education program is all about making it easier to exercise our gray-matter. Registration for the new semester begins Jan. 3 and you can register for online courses at any time. If you want to know more, call the education center at 6-3211. Take a moment, sign up for a class and tone-up your cranium.

Operation Season's Greetings
The country band Trick Pony, John Popper of Blues Traveler and a host of other entertainers are coming to Incirlik Nov. 26 just for us. The show will start at noon in Hangar 4. It's free and it's easy ... no videos but lots of fun. Come out and enjoy the show.

AEF Cycles
As the New Year approaches so does Air Expeditionary Force cycle 9/10. This is our next major deployment cycle. If you're in the bucket to go, now is the time to start making sure you ready. Pay attention to your medical and training requirements before the last minute. Buckle-up, get ready, and get set!

Project CHEER
The holidays are a great time for Project CHEER events that specifically cater to our unaccompanied population. Get out of your room and enjoy the holidays with a friend.

Project CHEER events are held all over the base. Some of the upcoming events include Football Frenzy 6 p.m. tonight at the club, a four person golf tournament 8 a.m. Saturday at the golf course, and a Movie Magic Night 7 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at the Oasis movie theater. For more information, call the community center at 6-6966.

Weekend Safety
Safety awareness is a 24/7/365 thing.

Many Team Incirlik members like to travel during the extended weekends and over the holidays. Get a full night's rest before setting out on any long road trips, and don't drive to exhaustion just to "make time."
Squadron and holiday parties are a great opportunity to employ our wingman for mutual support. Our February goal day is specifically tied to each unit's ability to avoid alcohol related events. Take care of your wingman and earn a goal day for your squadron. Keep an eye out for the people around you and make sure they have a plan to get home safely.

Congratulations
Four Incirlik senior master sergeants were selected for promotion to chief master sergeant Nov. 10.

Congratulations to the following selectees: Gary Hamm, 39th Logistics Readiness Squadron; Donald Byars, 39th Mission Support Squadron; William Walton, 39th Civil Engineer Squadron and Paul Marvin, 39th Contracting Squadron.
