INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey --

Maj. Myles Gilbert took command of the 39th Civil Engineer Squadron during a change of command ceremony here, July 18.

Prior to taking command, Gilbert served as the 49th Civil Engineer Squadron operations flight commander at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico.

A change of command ceremony is a tradition that represents a formal transfer of authority and responsibility from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander.
