Incirlik graduates 72 Airmen from CCAF Published Dec. 2, 2015 By LaShondria Smith 39th Air Base Wing Education and Training chief Incirlik Air Base, Turkey -- Seventy-two Airmen from the 39th Air Base Wing received their Community College of the Air Force associate degrees, of which thirty-three recipients participated in a commencement ceremony held at the Base Theater Nov. 20, 2015, here. The CCAF degrees were presented by Col. John Walker, 39th Air Base Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Vegas Clark, 39th Air Base Wing command chief. Col Mark Anarumo, 39th Air Base Wing vice commander, served as the guest speaker for the ceremony. He shared his thoughts on the importance of the CCAF degree, how education contributes to professional and personal growth, and congratulated the graduates on their accomplishment. In addition, two $400 scholarship Pitsenbarger Awards were presented to Staff Sgt.. Alexander Hodges and Senior Airman Lauren Lozano by the Air Force Association for their scholastic achievement, job performance, education goals and leadership qualities. The CCAF is the largest accredited community college in the United States and since 1977 has awarded 23,206 associate degrees. Congratulations to all the graduates: Tech. Sgt.
