Gate pass re-issue Published Jan. 30, 2007 By Airman 1st Class Kelly LeGuillon 39th Air Base Wing Public Affairs INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- The permanent gate pass re-issue has now been scheduled, but are you prepared? In order to assure those permanently stationed here receive new gate passes quickly and easily, it is important to have all of the required items. The items that will be required in order to receive a new permanent gate pass include a copy of your PCS orders, NATO orders, and a copy of your photo ID, front and back. Dependents will need a copy of their photo IDs, front and back, passport picture page and stamp page, as well as the picture page and expiration date page for the residency permit. Both military members and dependants will also need a properly filled out permanent gate pass form which is available on the Source under pass and ID. Avoiding common mistakes is the key in making this process a smooth one. "Common mistakes people make are thinking that we will make all of the copies for them, this is not true," said Airman First Class Charise Scott, 39 Security Forces, pass and registration clerk. According to Airman Scott, forgetting to bring your own copies isn't the only mistake people make. "Another mistake people make is not having all of the paperwork they need with them," she said. "Ways to make the process quicker is to come in and pick up the new permanent gate pass form. If they do so, then they will have the form filled out when it is time to get the pass," said Airman Scott. "Another thing they can do is come in and find their pictures if they left them here, or take new pictures if they cannot find their own. That way they will be a step closer to getting their passes done quicker than others." E-mails will be sent out by each squadron and the schedule for the permanent gate pass re-issue is listed below and on the Commanders Access Channel. Feb. 5 - 7: Last names ending with A, B or C Feb. 8 - 9: D, E or F Feb. 12 - 13: G, H or I Feb. 14 - 15: J, K or L Feb. 16 - 20: M, N or O Feb. 21: P, Q or R Feb. 22 - 23: S or T Feb. 26: U, V, W, X, Y or Z Feb. 27 - 28: will be make-up days. All 2006 gate passes will expire March 8.
