Let your pride show

Excessive pride is one of the classic seven deadly sins. But in our run-up to the UCI, showing the right amount of pride is an essential part of ensuring you and the entire wing do well in the inspection.

Take pride in your job, and let it show. You are the expert in what you do, so make sure the inspectors see that. Don't wait for the IG to ask questions or have to pry things out of you. Showcase your programs with confidence and let them know that no one does your job better than you do.

Take pride in your work area. IG members notice things like housekeeping and general organization, and an unkempt workcenter reflects poorly on everyone there.

Take pride in your unit, at all levels. We are all part of the same team, and the inspectors are coming into our house. It takes the whole team to succeed - your section, flight, squadron, group, and wing all need to come together to accomplish the mission day in and day out, and that pride of teamwork will show through to the inspectors. Support one another and don't blame other parts of Team Incirlik if an inspector points out a discrepancy. Tell them how you and the rest of the team will fix the problem!

Most importantly, take pride in yourself. Wear your uniform correctly and proudly. Display proper customs and courtesies to the inspectors and everyone around you. Be ready when it becomes your turn to shine. We have a lot of accomplishments to be proud of here on Team Incirlik. You've worked hard ensuring freedom's future - don't be afraid to show it!
