Lt. Col. Kenneth Marentette, 425th Air Base Squadron commander, stands with Master Sgt. Anthony Hanshaw, 425th ABS First Sergeant Thursday June 10, 2010 at Izmir, Turkey. Colonel Marentette and Sergeant Hanshaw are in charge of nearly 100 Airmen stationed at the unit. Airmen in Izmir are geographically separated but still continuously provide support to each other and the overall mission. The 425th ABS provides world class mission support to U.S. personnel at NATO command Air Izmir, the Office of Defense Cooperation, and the U.S. embassy, as well as administers the Çigli Air Base turnover agreement.
