93rd EARS supports Bright Star 21, fuels regional partner capacity
An F-15E Strike Eagle assigned to the 494th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron banks right after receiving fuel from a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 93rd Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron in support of Bright Star 21, over northern Egypt, Sept. 15, 2021. The 93rd EARS supported aerial refueling during Bright Star to both ensure participation from U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft assigned to the 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing and provide training qualification opportunities for 12 Egyptian air force F-16 Fighting Falcon pilots. Bright Star 21 provides the opportunity to test a collective ability to work with partners to address realistic scenarios across air, land, and sea domains, and within combined battle staffs. This exercise will increase interoperability readiness for future threat response in conventional and irregular warfare scenarios. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Jacob Derry)
