Welcome to the Commander's Comment's section of our website. I plan to use this corner of cyberspace to help keep the lines of communication open, and, most importantly, to provide direct access to my intent and priorities.

During the course of my career I've found that understanding commander's intent is priceless, and there's no substitute for hearing it directly. If you have a topic you'd like me to discuss, please comment below or send a note to our Public Affairs team. For routine questions, your best bet is Facebook or the Action Line.

Today marks the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Many of you were young children in 2001, and have grown up in a world where deployments and sacrifice are the standard. Some of you may have joined our military, or continue to serve, because of the memory of 9/11 and the knowledge that freedom comes with a price. Please take time today to reflect on the ideals that underpin our nation and to remember those who have fallen in the name of liberty.

The world may have changed on 9/11, but America's Airmen are a constant. When the history of our time is written, it will be recorded that our Airmen and their families served with distinction during a difficult time in the cause of freedom. I'm proud to be part of your team.

FFR,

Col. Wills
