U.S. Air Force Major Gen. John Wood, 3rd Air Force commander, and U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Anthony Cruz Munoz, 3rd Air Force command chief, visited Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, on Sept. 12, 2018.

Wood took command of the 3rd Air Force on Sept. 7, 2018, and his first stop was at Incirlik AB to learn about the service members who are maintaining the mission and advancing themselves as leaders and Airmen.

During the visit, Wood and Cruz Munoz received mission briefings from Command Post, Intelligence, Security Force defenders and maintainers.

During the tour, 3rd Air Force leadership also talked with Airmen across the base to receive feedback and answer any questions they had. Leadership also pulled aside and coined three Airmen for their dedication to the mission.

Wood and Cruz Munoz finished their time here by attending Incirlik AB’s Airman Leadership School graduation and thanking each Airmen for their continued service, dedication and sacrifice.
